Long Reach- Making a difference in rescue
Portable Buoyancy Deployment System

Water accident happens all the time. Unfortunately even with the great rescue systems we have at the moment, sometimes, they are unable to reach the victim on time. For this reason, Samuel Adeloju, an industrial designer, designed “Longreach”. It is a portable water-activated conveyance system that turns into a buoyancy device to help victims from drowning situation. This device is designed to help victims to remain buoyant while rescue personnel prepare the appropriate response to the situation. Once this rescue unit contacts the water, it uses hydrophobic or rapidly expanding foam to provide buoyancy. This allows the package to be vastly smaller in size than any currently existing buoyancy device. The device is a welcome plus to any rescue rescue team's equipment.

Fractal MGX Coffe Table - Unique and Stylish

How would you like a coffe table grown just for you?
Plants inside a house always complement to the interior decoration and the room environment, but when it’s about Fractal.MGX, it also adds handy functionalities. This unique and stylish coffee table is designed considering the fractal growth patterns of trees, making your room a lively place with great appearance. The table has been manufactured as a single piece using epoxy resin and stereo lithography without any seams or joints aiming to turn a simple room into something worth feeling proud of. Even though it doesn’t seem much useful as a coffee table to me due to its uneven surface (unless the designers have thought some unique cups and saucers with matching bottom), it surely can create a bond between human life and nature.

Mercedes Arrow
Lightweight Two-seater Vehicle That Gives You The Feeling of Sliding With a Bobsleigh

Mercedes Arrow has been designed to draw a comparison with other recreational vehicles such as motorcycles, jetskis or personalized aircraft. This stunning vehicle gives its passengers the ride of their life. The bobsleigh shaped body, the lightweight materials and the sporty look enable it to shoot through heavy traffic like an arrow from a bow. This experience can only be enjoyed by two passengers, their seats are placed one in front of another. One of the stunning features this futuristic car has, is that it combines TANDEM with MAGLEV technology to take sharp corners. This innovative feature allows the body of the car to tilt left and right when the car is taking corners, thus minimizing the wheels tilt angle. There is an almost non-existing chance for the vehicle to slide out of control. Due to the slim body, the wheels cover the same space of tarmac, just as a contemporary car, eliminating the risk of the car flipping over. The designer, Felipe Palermo, found inspiration in the old Silver Arrows, the SLR McLaren and the 1954 Gull-Wing.

What Is That New Phone Really Going to Cost?

Phenomenal phones are flooding the market. In the past few weeks the new iPhone 4, the HTC 4G EVO, Droid X and HTC HD2 debuted, all phones with fast processors and big screens.
But these new phones come at a cost – a recurring monthly charge. So before you sign a contract for two years of payments, which phone is really the bargain?
Before I get too far, let me acknowledge that the value of a phone is in the eye of the beholder. The least expensive isn’t a value if it doesn’t have the features you want.
That said, all of these phones are high-powered computing devices, each with features to recommend. But let’s take a look at pure costs, compiled with the help of cost calculator Validas.

Sunflower Street Lighting
Features Efficient, Cost-effective and Eco-Friendly City Lighting

What happens when there is no power supply in the street light, in worse case, what if the light is broken? Unless you have a bionic eye or using a night vision goggles, walking through a congested road during dark nights would be a horrible experience.
Sunflower street lighting not only eliminates the power issue through solar photovoltaic modules on the upper surface of the lamps, it ensures that if for any reason one light goes down, other lights will still continue to work. Moreover, incorporating the LED light instead of usual fluorescent bulb has made the concept up to eight times more efficient, cost effective and eco-friendly by reducing the mission of CO2. Each lighting consists 5 individual lamps on different cell modules and comprises one battery only to store the energy gathered from the sun during daytime. Finally, the sunflower like appearance of the concept will enhance the décor of a city just like a thrived garden with lots of bloomed sunflower.

How Artistic is your Lighting?

You can light up a place without adding aesthetics. To do this you can just rig up a bare bulb. On the other hand, with simple devices you can add lighting as well as huge aesthetic value. Several manufacturers have products that offer this, but the ones that caught our eye came from Nuance and Philips. They are unique and energy efficient.
Whether it's a ravishing red for romantic evenings or bright blue for a celebratory cocktail party, LivingColors lights up your living space with color in any way you would like. This lighting unit comes with four LEDs and touch pad control.
Nuance Light stones have redefined the way you look at tealights. Their organic natural shape draw thier inspiration from the rocky Danish coastline. Their appeal is enhanced by reflections of the high-gloss polished stainless steel surface. This complemented by the powerful red signal color on the inside. It almost looks surreal.
Whether you want a special atmosphere in your garden or you like to fall asleep by candle light, the soft glow from the Imageo candles is astonishingly realistic. Imageo provides up to 20 hours of lighting.
AquaLights come in a set of three floating lights and are ideal for water-filled decorative vases or bathtub. They are rechargeable using the wireless induction charger. They can provide 20 hours of intriguing light across the water.
Simulating the flame of real tealight, and supplied in six stylish frosted glass cups that can be replaced individually or in existing holders. This lighting unit can provide an intimate glow for up to 14 hours and recharging is wireless.
